PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Alfa industrial design graduates draw on a range of core courses, inter-mix with creativity and technical know-how, which lead to the production of innovative design solutions. The programme encourages innovative thinking and development of practices which extend the discipline and application of new technologies to fulfill the needs of human resource by the industrial sectors.

Our industrial design course focuses on a highly user-centered approach to design and the creation of aesthetic and technically viable products. the structure of the courses combines the study of aesthetic and technically viable products. the structure of the courses combines the study of theoretical knowledge and practical skill appropriate to contemporary design practice as well as industry needs. Our aim is to develop students with confidence in professional practice in design. planning and support the development of student's creative and innovative capabilities, to prepare them for a successful career.

PROGRAMME AIMS

Graduates of the program will have a wide opportunity to be employed as an industrial designer or an executive in various industrial and manufacturing sectors and in any relevant posts in the government sector.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates work as designers for product and manufacturinig companies; in the consultancy, furniture design, CAD/CAM, education, cultural and services sectors; and for research institutions. Cross-disciplinary designers work in emerging fields of design practice;others start and run their own design or product-producing businesses.

Entry Requirements

Education Qualifications

  • Obtain STPM/A Level/Grade 12 or Equivalent.
  • 1) Obtain C Grade in 1 general subject & Obtain C Grade in 2 other subjects with Grade B-[2.67] for visual Art subject.
  • 2) Obtain Diploma in relevant field min 2.00 CGPA and no color blind, or
  • 3) SPM/O Level/ Grade 10 or Equivalent must credit in visual Art subject with 5 Years’ experience in Industrial Design or related Industry work, or Pass relevant recognized Matriculation/ Foundation Certificate with 2.00 with at least 1 subject B-(2.67)
  • Obtain min 5.0 in IELTS or pass Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 3 or equivalent.(For international Students)
