Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to design intelligent systems that solve real-world problems across a wide range of industries. Throughout the programme, you will build a strong foundation in programming, machine learning, data analytics, computer vision, natural language processing, and intelligent automation.   • A pass Matriculation or Foundation in Computing/Science, Technology and Engineering fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent or higher; OR

     

  • A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade of C (GP 2.00) in Mathematics subjects and one Science/ICT subject; OR

     

  • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in Artificial Intelligence/Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 can be admitted, subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; OR

     

  • A Diploma in a related Science, Technology and Engineering field (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.75. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; OR

     

  • Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) related to Artificial Intelligence/Computing/Science, Technology and Engineering fields with CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; OR

     

  • Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) related to Artificial Intelligence/Computing/Science, Technology and Engineering fields with CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; OR

     

  • Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

 

SPECIFIC CORE & LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • English Competency Requirement:

Achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (High B1). If a student does not meet this requirement, the HEP must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.

 

  • Mathematics Requirement:

Those who pass in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but are required to take and pass a reinforcement Additional Mathematics subject.


The reinforcement of the Additional Mathematics subject must be offered before enrolment or in the first semester with conditional offer.


Students are required to pass the reinforcement Additional Mathematics before being allowed to take related core courses. The candidate may sit for any subjects that did not indicate Additional Mathematics as a prerequisite.


International candidates can be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematics subject (s) equivalent to Additional Mathematics at the SPM level. If it is not equivalent, a reinforcement Additional Mathematics subject equivalent to the SPM level must be offered before enrolment.

 

  • Reinforcement Course Requirement:

Students from Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent can be exempted from taking reinforcement Additional Mathematics, provided that the Additional Mathematics offered at that programme level is equivalent/more than the Additional Mathematics offered at an SPM level or higher.
