ALFA University College recently had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to our campus, for a visit built around dialogue, connection and friendship.

Meeting the Leadership
The delegation included Mr. Botir Ismoilov, First Secretary responsible for Higher Education Affairs, and Mr. Alisher Gafurov, Second Secretary responsible for Student Affairs. They met with our Chairman, Dato’ Dr. Shaharuddin Mohd Satha, our Managing Director, Dr. Fairuz Kamarulzaman, and our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurliza Haslin Muslim.
The discussions reflected a shared commitment to education and to the wellbeing of international students studying in Malaysia.

Students Hear Directly from the Embassy
The visit included a lively question and answer session where students could ask the Embassy representatives about education, future opportunities and student affairs. Hearing directly from officials who work on these matters gave students useful insight and a chance to have their questions answered first-hand.
A Special Meet and Greet with Our Uzbek Students
The delegation also joined a meet and greet with ALFA’s Uzbek students. Over relaxed conversation, students shared their academic experiences, what daily life in Malaysia is like, and their journeys at ALFA so far. For students studying far from home, it was a chance to connect with representatives of their own country.

Building Bridges Between Two Nations
The visit brought together university leadership, Embassy representatives and students, and it strengthened the educational ties between Uzbekistan and Malaysia. ALFA University College looks forward to continuing these connections and to supporting students from Uzbekistan and around the world as they pursue their goals.
